Penn started off slow but once the offense started clicking there was no turning back.Jr QB Andrew Paolini continues to produce throwing for 159yards 3TD and adding another score on the ground. Paolini showed his touch and mobility when he hit Sr TE Ben Klaus for a 22yrd touchdown. The Sr TE finished with 4rec 41yards 1TD. Sr RB Laquan McKever continues to dominate on the ground. The star running back lit up the Cougars defense for 122yards on the ground and 3 total TD. Jr LB Lewis Evans led the way on the defensive side of the ball finishing with 8tackles 2tfl 1sack 1ff 1fr. Evans has been a staple of the Quaker defense all season. As a group the Penn defense sacked the Cougars quarterbacks 7times. Penn looks to continue their winning streak as they travel to visit Alderson Broaddus next week.

Caldwell struck first but couldn’t keep up with the Penn offense. Jr QB Frank DeMaio threw for 180yards 1TD. Despite being sacked 6 times DeMaio did show his mobility making a few throws down field after breaking the pocket. Sr RB Carl Watson did what he could on the ground leading the Cougars with 46 rushing yards. Jr WR Jeremy Colon was once again the Cougar’s best pass catcher finishing with 3rec 64yards 1TD. Fr DL Donnell Doster was a leader on defense finishing with 7tackles 2tfl 2sacks. Fr LB Andrew Conklin continues to show his versatility impacting the run and the pass. He finished with 5tackles 1.5tfl 0.5sack.Caldwell heads back home to welcome Army.

STAC v Army: ARMY WIN 42-0

Player of the game- Jr WR Donovan Mannion 7rec 155yards 3TD

Army took an early lead and didn’t turn back. Both sides of the ball were firing on all cylinders which resulted in the dominant win for Army. Jr QB JC Watson had another steady performance throwing for 175yards 3TD. A stable of running backs helped Army rush for 142 yards as a team. The real star of the day for the Army offense was Jr WR Donovan Mannion who had a career day. Mannion finished with 7rec 155yards 3td which were all career highs. Mannion continues to show that he is the go to receiver and a consistent threat to opposing defenses. On the other side of the ball Army had a well balanced attack. 10 Army defenders had 3tackles or more, 8 defenders had at least 1tfl, and 4players had 1 or more sacks. The stifling Army defense held STAC scoreless for their second shutout of the season. Army heads to Caldwell next week for another CSFL North matchup.

The pass happy STAC offense struggled to get going. Fr QB Dennis Riordan only threw for 109yards with 0 touchdowns. The running game continues to be nonexistent for the Spartans finishing with 29yards on the ground as a team. The lone bright spot for the STAC offense was Jr WR Mahki Matthews who led the team in receiving yards with 64 on 4receptions. Matthews has shown all year that despite some of the play around him, he is a consistent play maker that must be accounted for. Soph Davion Hicks led the Spartans in tackles with 12 and also added 1tfl and  Sr DL Tyreke Smith continues to be a menace for offenses  finishing with 8tackles 1tfl. Much like Matthews, Smith has been a bright spot for a defense that has given up 30+ points in 5 games this season. STAC takes a bye week before they welcome Chestnut Hill to New York.

Mansfield v Alderson Broaddus: MU WIN 62-31

Player of the game- Fr QB Cahsid Raymond 253yards 2TD 73rushing yards 3TD & Fr DB Kendall Smith Jr 6tackles 2tfl 2sacks 1int

Mansfield once again showed how explosive their offense can be putting up 62 points. Fr QB Cahsid Raymond got back on track lighting up the AB defense for 5total TD. Raymond continues to be the catalyst for the MU offense as they look to finish out the season strong. Fr RB Dominic Cherry showed his versatility finishing with 132 all purpose yards and 1TD. Jr WR Myante Drayton and Sr WR Eugene Haynes combined for 7rec 141yards 1td. The defense was led by Fr DB Kendall Smith Jr who had a heck of a day. The young safety was everywhere on the field finishing with 6tackles  2tfl 2sacks 1int. Jr LB Matt Robert set the tone in the middle leading the team in tackles with 7 and tackles for loss with 2.5. Mansfield hits the road again next week to visit Navy.

AB continues to grow each week despite the losses. Jr QB Timmy Tillman is a great example of that. The young QB showed how impressive he can be by making a few big time throws in route to a 240yard 3td game. His favorite target on the day was Fr WR Laterrian Barber who finished with a career high 5rec 112yards 2td. The amazing day was needed from the freshman with the absence of offensive staple Shamon Gennes. Offensive line woes didn’t do AB any favors. QB Timmy Tillman was sacked 6 times and the AB offense only generated 2 positive rushing yards as a team. Defensively Fr LB Dalton Dunkle had an impact finishing with 7tackles 1pbu. AB finishes of their season next week at home vs Penn.
