Mansfield v Penn: Mansfield win 27-24

Player of the game: Soph QB Cahsid Raymond – 272yards 4TD 82rushing yards

Mansfield came away with their first ever win against Penn. Soph QB Cahsid Raymond had one of his best performances throwing the ball. The star QB threw for 272yards with 4TDs. His 82rushing yards were a team high. Raymond hit Soph WR Latrenton Randle and Sr RB Terrance Quaker for 79yards and 2 TDs each. Sr LB Matt Robert led the team in tackles with 10tk 1.5tfl 1. 5sacks.This is the third season in a row that Robert has had 60+ tackles. Fr DL Ian Mapp continues to have a strong first season. He finished the game with 8tk 3.5tfl 1.5sack 1ff 1fr. Mansfield ends their season on the road as they Navy next week.

Penn ended their season with a valiant effort but came up short in their first ever loss to Mansfield. Sr QB Andrew Paolini threw for 160yards 1TD in his final game for the Quakers. Paolini finishes his career with the 4th most passing yards in Penn history and his 28 passing touchdowns are good for the 4th most in Penn history. Soph DL Cam Janock led the team with 10tk 0.5tfl 1ff. Sr DL Travis Legum ended his stellar senior campaign with a 6tk 1tfl game. Penn ends their season with a 3-4 record.

Stac v Chestnut Hill: STAC win 27-14

Player of the game: Soph QB Ryan Kenny- 239yards 4TD 

This game was a back-and-forth affair, but STAC took control in the end. Soph QB Ryan Kenny looked like his earlier season self-throwing for 239yards 4TD. It’s good to see the young QB bounce back from an injury. Soph RB Reno Molina had the biggest game of his career finishing the day with 5rec 169yards 2TD. Soph LB Chris Jones had a game high 12tackles with 1.5tfl 0.5sack. Fr DL Donnell White also had a career day finishing with 11tk 3TFL 2. 5sacks.STAC heads back home next week for a matchup against Cornell. 

Chestnut Hill fought back after an early deficit but couldn’t secure a victory. Soph QB CJ Small continues to show some promise. He finished this one with 101yards 1TD.  Soph RB Anthony Broderick continues to be one of the bright spots for the Chestnut Hill offense. The young running back finished with 106yards on the ground. Soph RB Ira Baine added 66yards with 1TD. Fr LB Lex Williams led the team in tackles with 9 and added 2tfl. Chestnut Hill will try to get their first win off the season next week as they visit Alderson Broaddus.  

Navy v AB: Navy win 41-0

Player of the game: Sr RB Alex Totta- 123yards 2TD 2rec 40yards

Navy secures their spot in the CSFL championship game. Jr QB Brandon Atwood had a very productive day throwing for 134yards 1TD and rushing for 34yards 1TD. Sr RB Alex Totta continues to be the catalyst for the Navy offense. Totta once again led the team in rushing this time finishing with 123yards 2TD. Totta continues to have an historic senior season. Jr DL Angelo Labbe had the best game of his career finishing with 5tk 4tfl 4sacks. Navy will play Mansfield in their final regular season game before heading to the CSFL championship game.

AB couldn’t do much offensively in this one. Sr QB Tim Tillman only threw for 86yards. As a team AB was held to -21 rushing yards  with. While the Battlers couldn’t get the ball moving on offense the defense did show some signs of life early. AB was only down 0-3 at the end of the 1st quarter but a quick barrage of points from Navy in the 2nd put the game out of reach. Jr DB Ethan Codeluppi led the team in tackles with 13 and added 1tfl 1ff. Soph DL Zachary Allison added 8tk 2.5tfl. AB looks to secure one more win as they close out the season against CHC.   

Caldwell v Cornell: Caldwell win 40-20

Player of the game: Fr RB Devon Turner- 150rushing yards 1TD

Caldwell found themselves holding a slim 2pt lead over Cornell heading into the half. A strong running game and defense eventually overcame the upstart Cornell team.  Sr QB Frank DeMaio didn’t have his greatest day throwing the ball. His 64yards are his lowest output of the season. However, DeMaio did add to rushing touchdowns to help secure the victory. Fr RB Devon Turner had a great day running for a career high 150yards with 1TD. The freshmen duo of Jason Jeannot and Donovan Swasey combined for 134rushing yards and 2TDs. Sr DL Michael Lohrman dominated up front leading the team with 10tk 2tfl 2sacks. Soph CB Kyle Readus sealed the win for the cougars with interceptions on back-to-back drives.  Caldwell hits the road next week to visit Army.

Cornell had one of their best showings as a team this year. Sr QB Xavier Martinez threw for a career high 268yards with 2TD 2int. If Martinez can continue to play at this level Cornell will be in a good spot as they close out the season next week. Sr WR Colton Kotecki had another great game. Kotecki led the team with 6rec 135yards 1TD. This is the 2nd 100+ yard game for Kotecki, his only two 100+ yard games of his career. Sr DB Marco Nykodym led the team with 11tk 1pbu. Cornell ends their season next week with a matchup against division rival STAC.

MSFL

SMWC v Fontbonne: SMWC win 27-7

Player of the game: Fr DL/LB Hunter Cardwell- 8tk 3.5tfl 3.5sacks & Fr DL/LB Trey Jackson 7tk 3.5sacks 5.5tfl

With this win SMWC secured their spot in the MSFL championship game. The Pomeroy’s offense was as potent as usual big still did more than enough to win the game. Fr QB sensation Brennon Landry threw for 117yards 1TD before leaving the game due to an apparent injury. Fr RB Patrick Perea led the way on the ground with 70 rushing yards. Fr WR Jaheem Joseph added 106 all-purpose yards with 2TD (1rushing 1receiving) . Freshman Hunter Cardwell and Trey Jackson destroyed the Griffins offense. Cardwell finished with 8tk 3.5tfl 3.5sacks and Jackson finished with 7tk 5.5tfl 3.5sacks.  Fr DB Monte’ May held it down in the secondary finishing with 5tk 0.5tfl 2int. SMWC will play CCSJ for the 3rd time this year to decide who will be the Inaugural champion in the MSFL.  

Fontbonne put up a fight but couldn’t get things going offensively. Fr ATH  Chris Reckel who has taken over QB duties has not replicated his earlier season success. He only threw for 90yards with 4int. Fr LB Clayton Arrowood had one of his best games leading the team with 9tackles 2sacks 2tfl. Fr LB Avion Bass and Fr DL Isaiah Sanders continue to have impressive seasons. Bass finished with 7tk 2tfl 2sacks 1fr and Sanders finished with 7tk 3tfl 1sack 1ff. Fontbonne will play Midway for one final game to decide regular season seeding. 

Quincy v Midway: Quincy win 40-3

Player of the game: Sr ATH Taylor Klusmeyer- 189passing yards 3TD 75rushing yards 2TD. 

Quincy had things rolling, picking up their 2nd win in a row. Sr ATH Taylor Klusmeyer has looked very impressive in his return to QB after transitioning to receiver for a period of time this year. The senior threw for 189yards 3TDs and led the team on the ground with 75rushing yards and  2 rushing TDs. Fr ATH Exavior Hinton has picked it up as of late, this is the 2nd game in a row he scored a TD. Hinton finished the day as the teams leading receiver with 6rec 75yards 2TD. Fr DB Cordell Walker led the team in tackles with 10 adding 1tfl 1fr. Fr LB Jaree Jones added 9tk 0.5tfl 0.5sack 1int and Soph LB Ray Lingard followed with 8tk 2.5tfl 1.5sacks. The pair are one of the best defensive duos in the MSFL. Quincy will play Bellarmine in a 3rd place game to finalize regular season seeding. 

Midway continues to struggle as they search for their first win of the season. Fr QB DJ Palmer produced most of the offense for Midway. Palmer threw for 76yards and rushed for 52. The usual connection Palmer has with Lee and Alphonse was not present in this game. Fr LB Zaiquan Pinkard led the team in tackles with13 and 1tfl 1pbu. Midway will play Fontbonne to decide final regular season seeding as they search for their first win. 

CCSJ v Bellarmine: CCSJ win 31-28

Player of the game: Fr RB Jonathan Flemings 126yards 1TD.

CCSJ secured their spot in the MSFL championship game. Fr QB Carson Crowe got the start at QB and had a solid game throwing for 132yards 1TD. Fr RB Jonathan Flemings shined in this crucial game rushing for 126yards 1TD. Flemings has been one of the premier backs in the MSFL all season. Fr WR Nino Barbosa had the best game of his career hauling in 4 receptions for 112yards. Defensively Fr LB Isaac Hegwood showed out once again leading the team with 10tk 1.5tfl 1fr(TD) 1pbu. His fumble recovery also sealed the game for the Crimson Wave.  CCSJ will face SMWC for the third time this year to decide who will be the inaugural champion of the MSFL.  

Bellarmine fought valiantly but fell short in claiming a berth in the championship game. Fr QB Dylan Gough had one of the best games of his career throwing for a career high 290yards 2TD 1int. Star RB Brenden Reid and Sr RB Devan Hendricks drove the bus for the Bellarmine offense. Reid finished with 106 all-purpose yards 1rushing TD and Hendricks finished with 170 all-purpose yards 2TDs (1rushing 1receving). The pair have been one of the most dynamic duos in all of sprint football. Fr DL Royce Hall led the team with 9tk.  Bellarmine will play Quincy in one final game to decide regular season seeding.
