Alderson Broaddus athletics canceled indefinitely.

Very unfortunate news to start the 2023 season. As first reported by Alexandra Weaver & Joey Rather of 12WBOY, Alderson Broaddus has had their authorization to award degrees in West Virginia revoked by the Higher Education Policy Commission (HEPC).

Due to this all athletics and extracurricular activities have ended effective immediately. Student athletes have already begun to try and find new homes. Alderson Broaddus was one of the unique teams that had both a Sprint Team and a Traditional D-II team.

Alderson Broaddus became a member of the CSFL in 2019. In 3 season ( 2021 COVID) the Batterers have finished with a 3-18 record. Some spectacular players have helped lay the foundation for AB despite difficulties these last few seasons and they will be excellent players for any team that will have them.

CSFL teams with AB on their schedule will now have an open week and will need to reschedule. Same thing for Bellarmine in the MSFL, they were set to play in week 1 for a MSFL/CSFL matchup.
