Names to know:RB
(MSFL) Bellarmine Jr Brenden Reid-2023 573yards 9TD
Reid has been the catalyst for the Bellarmine offense for the last two seasons. His hardnosed running style has created some of the most impressive runs in all of sprint football over these last two years. The star tailback has a MSFL leading 15 rushing touchdowns in just two seasons. That is good for the 11th most all time in sprint football history. Reid has also shown the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield and he is a phenomenal pass and lead blocker. To further highlight just how impressive Reid has been, his 17 total touchdowns have him just 3 scores away from joining the 20TD Club which only has 15 members. The 20TD Club are the group of players in sprint history that have scored 20+ All Purpose Touchdowns(rushing, receiving, returns). He would join this elite collection of players in just 3 seasons. With Reid as the driving force the Knights have a chance to get over the hump and get to the MSFL title game.
(CSFL) Army Soph Arthur Lavalais-2023 329yards 7TD
Army has one of the next great running backs in the CSFL in Arthur Lavalais. The young back worked his way onto the field despite his youth and playing for a program that traditionally does not play freshmen a ton. His sturdy frame and acceleration make him a nightmare for opposing defenses. Lavalais has all of the tools to become a all time great at Army. His running style and physical traits are very reminiscent of 2016 grad and CSFL HUB HoF running back Marques Burrell who is Army’s all time leader in rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. Despite splitting carries with Sr RB Henry Beck, Lavalais should see an increase in touches with a year of experience under his belt. The up and coming running back should be one of the main reasons Army has a great run game this season.
(MSFL) SMWC Jr Patrick Perea-2023 356yards 4TD
Perea has been a consistent threat in the backfield for SMWC throughout these first two seasons. He is the primary back in a backfield that includes Jr Keandre Jones and Soph Derron Hazzard. While the emergence of the of Jones and Hazzard has cut down the amount of touches for Perea he has still been the Pomeroy’s lead back and a very productive ball carrier. Perea has the strength to run in between the tackles and the speed to get to the edge. He has proven to be a home run threat once he gets to the second level of the defense. He is also a viable receiving threat out of the backfield when given the chance. With SMWC trying to reach their 3rd straight MSFL title game Perea will be a big part of the offensive gameplan for the Pomeroys.

(MSFL) Quincy Sr CJ Jackson-2023 614yards 8TD
Jackson burst onto the scene in his first season in the MSFL. The explosive runner quickly became one of the best players in the MSFL and one of the best running backs in all of sprint football. Jackson led all of sprint football in rushing yards and was tied for 2nd in rushing touchdowns. Quincy took a step forward last season thanks to Jackson’s efforts in the rushing attack. The rising senior is one of the fastest ball carriers in sprint football and he has a refuse to go down running style that generates plenty of yards after contact. With Jackson leading the charge in the backfield Quincy should continue to have a great running game.
(CSFL) Mansfield Sr Terrance Quaker-2023 340yards 4TD 13rec 175yards 2TD
Mansfield has had the luxury if having one of the most versatile players in the CSFL in Terrance Quaker. The star athlete has contributed all over the field for Mansfield over the course of his career. He has settled in a nice role on offense as the primary back who can not only catch the ball out of the backfield but also line up as a receiver and win consistently. Quaker has become one of Sr QB Cahsid Raymond’s favorite targets in their time playing together. The senior athlete’s most effective attribute is his speed. While past injuries may have slowed him down bit Quaker still possesses more than enough burst to get the the third level and finish runs. With a strong final season Quaker has the chance to cement his name in the record books as one of the most versatile players in Mansfield and CSFL history.

(MSFL) SMWC Soph Derron Hazzard-2023 325yards 8TD 9rec 150yards 2TD
SMWC has done a great job filling their backfield with a number of talented tailbacks. The youngest of this talented group is Soph Derron Hazzard. The young ball carrier managed to find the endzone 10 times during his first season. Some guys barely score 10 touchdowns in their career let alone their first season in the league. Hazzard has had the benefit of playing with Patrick Perea and Keandre Jones, two backs who do a great job of attacking the defense and creating opportunities for Hazzard. Touches will be spread around these three talented backs but with great physical tools and a nose for the endzone expect Hazzard to make his fair share of impactful plays.
