Names to know:DL
(CSFL) CHC Jr Jonathan Havrilak 2023-54tk 6tfl 3.5sacks
The Griffins could be in for a breakthrough season with this group and one of the major reasons for that is the play of their star interior defensive lineman Jonathan Havrilak. The star lineman has been an impact player for CHC since his first season as a Griffin. Havrilak has good size and quickness paired with a wont quit motor. These qualities make Havrilak one of the key players for the CHC defense and one of the must watch defensive linemen in the CSFL. For CHC to turn the corner with the core group of guys Havrilak will need to have his best season yet.

(CSFL) STAC Jr Donnell White 2023-54tk 7.5tfl 3.5sacks
STAC is coming off of their best seasons in program history. A key piece for the Spartans defensively is star defensive end Donnell White. In just 2 seasons White has established himself as one of the best defensive ends in all of sprint football. The rising Jr led the Spartans in tackles and was tied for 6th in sprint football in total tackles. With White’s great hand fighting ability, toughness, and get off, the Spartans have a great staple on the defensive side of the ball as they look to have another successful season.
(CSFL) Navy Sr David Niski 2023- 27tk 6.5tfl 5.5sacks
Navy is coming off of one of their best eras in program history. With a new head coach and a plethora of young pieces mixed in with first time starters on offense, the Midshipmen will need to rely heavily on their defense which is anchored by Sr David Niski. The stud senior is a menace at defensive end for Navy. Niski has excellent size for the position with a long reach that helps him set the edge and get his hands on offensive linemen before they can get to his body. With so much change happening with other areas of the team Navy will need Niski to have his best season yet and lead a upperclassman heavy defense.
(MSFL) Quincy Jr Bryce Vaught 2023-49tk 10tfl 4sacks
Quincy has had one of the best defenses in the MSFL the last two seasons. Heading into year three the Hawks should be in for more of the same. One of the players who can help the Hawks continue their success is Jr Bryce Vaught. Vaught plays with a high motor and aggressiveness that makes him standout on the Hawks defensive line. Heading into year three Vaught should be even better upfront. If he can improve his pass rushing and maintain his effectiveness as a run stuffer then Vaught has a chance to become a one of the best defensive ends in sprint football.
(CSFL) Penn Sr Cam Janock 2023-44tk 8tfl 4.5sacks
Penn has a history of turning out strong front seven players. One of the guys carrying that tradition is Sr Cam Janock. The rising senior is the Quakers best pass rusher and run stuffer. Janock is always near the ball whenever you watch Penn play. I think one of the things Janock does as well as anyone at his position is play with a high motor. He is constantly trying his hardest to run ball carriers down even when it isn’t on his side of the field. Janock covers for some of his teammates on the line that cant make the type of plays that he can. With Penn looking to improve from last season Janock will be a big part of their defensive plans.

(MSFL) Bellarmine Jr Jordan Haywood 2023- 25tk 9tfl 6sacks
Bellarmine has been one of the top four teams in the MSFL the last two seasons. Spectacular offensive playmakers had been a large part of the Knights success. They have also had a few standout players on defense. One of these main players had been Jr Jordan Haywood. The big defensive end has been a staple of the Knights defensive so far in his career. Haywood has a large frame and impressive wingspan that makes him a nightmare coming off the edge. He can reach out and sack quarterbacks even if does not cleanly win the rep and when he does not get home he has a knack for batting down passes. With Haywood heading anchoring the edge Bellarmine should be due for another good season.
