CSFL
Army v Navy-Army win 17-3
Player of the game: Soph QB Kyle West 234yards 2TD 2int
Army used timely scores and tough defense to win this game against Navy. Soph QB Kyle West led the charge throwing 234yards 2TD 2int. The young QB is off to a great start to his career. Soph RB Arthur Lavalais led the way on the ground with 51yards. Sr WR Ben Deloit led the team in receiving with 5rec 99yards 1TD. Lavalais also added 17 receiving yards and the other receiving TD on the night. On defense Sr DB Sean Cuffe led the team with 11tk 1ff. Sr DL William Sayer was a force up front ending the game with 8tk 2.5tfl 1sack 1ff. The multiple turnovers forced by the Army defense proved to be too much for Navy. Army hits the road again next week to take on STAC.
Navy struggled to get their offense going in this one. Sr QB Luke Wagner only threw for 86 yards. The Navy passing attack has not been spectacular this season. When they are held to totals as low as this, it makes things difficult for the running game. Soph RB Hunter Gennicks could only muster 67 yards on the ground. Fr WR Biamungu Nkere led the team with 4 rec 57 yards. While they did lose the game, the Navy defense did enough to keep the team in the game. Jr LB Jake Wolinski led the team with 12 tk 1.5 tfl 1 int. Sr DB Tyler Cox contributed 9 tk 1 int in the defensive effort. Navy hits the road next week to visit CHC.
Caldwell v Molloy-Caldwell win 49-0
Player of the game: Fr RB Curtis McDougal 84yards 3TD
Caldwell dominated this one with a relentless rushing attack and tough defense. The Cougar’s passing attack was almost nonexistent ending the game with just 40yards through the air. Where Caldwell really shinned was on the ground rushing for a whopping 384yards as a team. Fr RB Curtis McDougal led the way with 84yards 3TD. The Cougars gashed the Lions time after time. All ten ball carriers who generated yards for Caldwell averaged over 5 yards per carry. The Caldwell defense didn’t let up all night holding Molly to just 80 total yards. The leading tackler for the Cougars was Fr LB Damian Tavers who ended up with 6tk. Caldwell heads home for the first time this season for a matchup with Mansfield.
Molloy continues to struggle as they search for their first win as a program. The offensive woes continue to hurt the Lions in games. Jr QB Paulie Drummond only completed 5 passes for 27yards 1int. The lack of quality offensive line play has prevented Molloy form doing much of anything through the air or on the ground this season. If the Lions hope to become a more formidable team, then the offensive line will need to improve quickly. On defense Fr DB Jovanni Elysee led the team with 6tk. Molloy hits the road next week to visit Penn.
Mansfield v STAC-Mansfield win 58-14
Player of the game: Sr ATH Cahsid Raymond 37passing yards 1TD 91rushing yards 4TD 2rec 56yards
Mansfield lit the scoreboard up for their homecoming crowd. Fr QB Marcus Quaker led the team from the helm ending the game with 86yards 1TD. The catalyst for the team was once again Sr Cahsid Raymond who had a monster night. Raymond finished with 37passing yards 1TD 91rushing yards 4TD 2rec 56yards. The star senior has been a stat sheet stuffer in his final season. We are witnessing the final stretch of what has been one of the greatest careers in sprint football history. Fr RB James Ricigilano had a career night ending the game with a team high 106yards on the ground. On defense Fr LB Jackson Taylor continues to impress. He led the team in tackles once again this time finishing with 7tk. Fr DL Cooper Levine had the best game of his career finishing with 5tk 2tfl 1sack. Mansfield hits the road next week to take on Caldwell.
STAC has struggled so far this season when playing the established teams in the CSFL. Sr QB Ryan Kenny threw for 164yards 2TD 3int. The gunslinging signal caller is fighting the good fight despite some of the inconsistencies around him. The Spartans will need him to continue to make plays if they home to salvage this season. The running game wasn’t able to take any pressure of off Kenny. The Spartans only rushed for 29yards as a team. The leading receiver was Sr Luke Mckenna who ended the game with 2rec 53yards. Sr WR Jayden Bennermon added 3rec 49yards 1TD. On defense Soph LB Jojo Miranda led the team with 8tk 2tfl. STAC heads home next week to take on Army.
CHC v Cornell-CHC win 27-9
Player of the game; Soph RB Lawrence Howard 138yards 2TD/Fr RB Xavier Limehouse 132yards
CHC was yet another team that was able to force their will upon their opponent with a lethal rushing attack. The passing game was effective with Jr QB Anthony Cancellare at the helm. The 3rd year QB threw for 168yards 1TD 2int. The team succeeded in throwing the ball. However, the Griffins missed many opportunities with their passing game. The rushing attack is a different story. Soph RB Lawrence Howard led the team with 138yards 2TD. His electric runs were a constant for CHC as they marched down the field. Right behind him was Fr RB Xavier Limehouse who had a career night rushing for 132yards. The dynamic pair should be a focus for the Griffins offense moving ahead. Jr Kyree Griffin led the receiving core with 5rec 79yards 1TD. On defense Jr LB Lex Williams led the team with 5tk and Jr LB Cam Goldsmith added 4tk 1tfl. CHC stays home to welcome Navy.
Cornell is another team that has struggled when playing the established teams in the league. Jr QB Max Spero threw for 100yards 1int. As a team Cornell only rushed for 30yards. The leading receiver was Sr Colin Boyle who led the team with 2rec 51yards. On defense Jr LB Alexei DiDonato led the team with 11tk 1tfl. As the season goes on Cornell will need to improve in all three phases of the game if they hope to end their season on a positive note. Next week Cornell plays Penn at home.
MSFL
Quincy v Walsh-Quincy win 35-19
Player of the game: Sr RB CJ Jackson 53rushing yards 2TD 1rec 21yards 1TD.
Quincy won their first game of the season with the help of their top players. Soph QB Deuce Allaway threw for 144yards 2TD 1int. The sophomore has had an up and down season so far. However, when Allaway gives his team steady production, the Hawks are in a good place offensively. Sr RB CJ Jackson led the team with 53yards 2TD. The senior back also added 1rec 21yards 1TD. Jackson’s 3 TD performance was catalyst that led to this Hawks win. On defense Soph DL Kyron Dunae had a career day ending the game with 5tk 3.5tfl 3.0sacks. Fr LB Rolin Armes added 1tk and 1int for a score that ended the game for the Hawks. Quincy hits the road next week to visit Midway.

Fr QB Zach Bowman threw 155yards and a season high 2TD with 1int. Bowman was also the leading rusher with 56yards 1TD. Jr WR Nate Gager was the offensive star of the day for Walsh leading the team with 5rec 117yards 1TD. Defensively Fr DL Darrius Calhoun led the team with 7tk 0.5tfl 0.5sack. Soph DB Willy Wallace added 6tk 1int 1pbu. Walsh heads home next week to play SMWC.
SMWC v Oakland City-SMWC win 37-0
Player of the game:Soph RB Derron Hazzard 106yards 1TD
SMWC continues to roll on both sides of the ball as they win this matchup against the Oaks. Jr QB Jeremiah Tosky didn’t have his best game. The junior threw for 95yards 2TD 2int and added 1 rushing TD. The lack of yards can be attributed to the tough defense from the Oaks secondary. However, the Pomeroys were still able to get points on the board when the opportunities were there. Soph RB Derron Hazzard led the team on the ground with 106yards 1TD. Jr WR Devron Johnson receiving core with 6rec 69yards 2TD. On defense Fr DB Vermont Johnson led the team with 7tk. Soph LB Jesse Lara had a career day finishing the game with 6tk 3.5tfl 1ff 1fr. SMWC hits the road next week to visit Bellarmine.
Oakland City gave the SMWC offense some trouble. However, they couldn’t stop the bleeding once the Pomeroys got rolling. The Oaks were only able to generate 103yards as a team with no touchdowns. The lack of offensive production halted any chance the Oaks may have had in this game. On defense Fr LB Frederick Ellis had a game high 13tk. Soph DB Devontay Gilbert added 6tk 2int. Oakland City heads home next week to play CCSJ.
CCSJ v Bellarmine-CCSJ win 24-18 OT
Player of the game: Soph RB Jamall Warnell 120yards
CCSJ came out victorious in this absolute nail-biter. Tough defenses on both sides made score a rare commodity throughout the game. Jr QB Nino Barbosa threw for 85yards 1TD 1int. Soph QB Destry Peoples came into the game to help spark things for the Wave offense. He finished with 69yards 1TD. The offensive work horse for the Crimson Wave was Soph RB Jamall Warnell who ran for 120yards. The running game has been the most consistent part of the CCSJ offense this season. This game was no different. Soph WR Zaire Davis led the team with 2rec 55yards 1TD. On defense Jr LB Jared Cottrell led the team with 10tk 2tfl 1int. Jr LB Josh Tejeda was right behind him adding 7tk 2tfl 1sack. CCSJ takes on Oakland City next week.
Bellarmine fought every step of the way in this game. It came down to overtime to decided who would walk away victorious between these two tough teams. Fr QB Kyle Horvath threw a game high 264yards 2TD 1int. The passing game has flourished this season with Horvath at the helm. Despite the loss the air attack was very productive against one of the best defenses in the MSFL. Jr RB Brenden Reid was held to 44yards on the ground. Soph RB Derrik Gant led the team through the air with 5rec 95yards 1TD. Defensively the Knights star players had a huge impact on the game. Soph LB Luke Jackson continues to have a breakout campaign leading the team with 11tk 4.5tfl 1sack. The entire Bellarmine defense got in on the action. The Knights had 11tfl as a team with 3sacks 2ff and 1int. The Knights had a strong showing in this game despite the loss. Bellarmine heads home for a matchup against SMWC next week.
