CSFL
Army v Molloy-Army win 63-7
Player of the game: Sr RB Henry Beck 134yards 2TD
Army got things rolling right away in their first meeting with Molloy. The passing game was an afterthought since Army was able to run their way up and down the field. Soph QB Kyle West and Fr QB Carson McFadden did combine for 90yards 2TD. The ground attack was led by Sr RB Henry Beck who has made the most of his opportunity since coming in for standout back Arthur Lavalais. Beck ran for 134yards 2TD. Fr RB Gabriel Bolivar added 125yards 2TD. As a team Army ended the night with 7 rushing TD. On defense Sr LB Brandon Castro led the team with 5tk 0.5tfl 0.5sack. Army will be in the championship next week against Navy.
Molloy ended their season with more of the same woes on both sides of the ball. Offensively Jr QB Paulie Drummond threw for 111yards 1TD 1int. The lone TD went to Jr ATH Peter von Schoenermark who ended the night with 7rec 42yards 1TD. Fr WR Chaz Kitsakos added 3rec 61yards. On defense Fr Anthony DiSalvo led the team with 7tk. Fr Jojo Spano added 5tk 1tfl 1sack 1ff. Molloy went through the ringer this season. With one year under their belt, it will be interesting to see how much the program can improve next year. Molloy ends their season 0-7.
CHC v Penn-CHC win 12-7
Player of the game: Jr QB Anthony Cancellare 164yards 2TD
CHC used tough defense and timely plays on offense to come out victorious in this clash of Philadelphia rivals. Jr QB Anthony Cancellare threw for 164yards 2TD. Cancellare was also the leading rusher ending the night with 26yards on the ground. The Griffins did not have their usual success on the ground however they did just enough to secure the victory. Jr WR Kyree Griffin led the team through the air with 7rec 55yards 2TD. On the defensive side of the ball Jr LB Lex Williams and Jr DL Jonathan Havrilak combined for 14tk 0.5tfl. CHC ends their season with a 5-2 record.
Penn was in this one until the very end. The Quakers just couldn’t do enough on offense to get the win. Fr QB Michael Malone threw for 119yards 1int. The lone TD for the Quakers came from Soph RB JT Goodman who ended the night with 31yards 1TD. Sr RB Tom Rebstock led the team in yards with 44 on the ground. Sr WR Jake Wang had a team high 4rec for 44yards. On defense Sr LB Jake Inserra led the team with 7tk 1.5tfl. Sr LB Matt Mckillop added 6tk 3tfl 1.0sack. Penn ends their season with a 5-2 record.
Mansfield v Cornell-Mansfield win 48-35
Player of the game: Fr QB Marcus Quaker 105yards 107rushing yards 4TD
Mansfield used a big second half surge to secure a win in their final game of the season. Fr QB Marcus Quaker threw for 105yards but where he really impressed was on the ground. Quaker ran for 107yards with 4TD. The big night on the ground didn’t stop there. Sr RB Terrance Quaker ran for 139yards 2TD in his final game. Sr ATH Cahsid Raymond led the team through the air with 3rec 81yards. Raymond also added 72rushing yards 1TD. On defense Fr LB Jackson Taylor led the team with 9tk 1tfl. Mansfield ends their season with a 3-5 record.
Cornell had things tied up at halftime. They just couldn’t do enough to slow down the second half Mountaineer surge. Sr ATH Evan Nicholas did all he could do for his team on both sides of the ball. Nicholas threw for 115yards 2TD 1int, ran for 145yards 2TD, and added 7tk 2fr. Nicholas has been one of the lone bright spots for Cornell all season. The star senior left it all out on the field in his final game. Sr WR Colin Boyle led the receiving core with 5rec 70yards 2TD. On defense Fr LB Paddy Harrington led the team with 10tk. Cornell ends their season with a 2-5 record.
Navy v Caldwell-Navy win 28-14
Player of the game: Jr LB Jake Wolinski 12tk 1.5tfl
Navy bounced back from a scoreless first half with tough defense setting the table for their offense. Sr QB Luke Wagner threw for 114yards 3TD. The usually strong Navy run game was held in check with the Mids only rushing for 58yards as a team. Fr WR Biamungu Nkere led the team with 3rec 53yards 2TD. Defensively Jr LB Jake Wolinski had one of the best games of his career. Wolinski led the team with 12tk 1.5tfl. Sr DL David Niski added 6tfl 3.5tfl 2.5sacks. Jr DB Seamas Carrasco and Sr DB Tyler Cox had two interceptions a piece. Navy will play Army next week in the CSFL Championship.
Caldwell kept things close early, but turnovers killed their momentum. Fr QB Josh Smith struggled only throwing for 98yards with 3int. Smith wasn’t able to get things going on the ground either rushing for 16yards. Luckily Fr QB Jamiel Lawrence was able to get things going. Lawrence threw for 194yards 1TD 1int and ran one in on the ground. Jr WR Ajurn Petgrave had a game high 9rec 106yards. Defensively the Cougars were led by Sr DB Amajuwan Murray who had a team with 9tk 1.5tfl. Caldwell finishes their season with a 3-4 record.
MSFL
CCSJ v SMWC-CCSJ win 38-13
Player of the game: Soph RB Jamall Warnell 102yards 2TD
CCSJ used a combination of suffocating defense and big plays on offense to capture the 2024 MSFL title. Jr QB Nino Barbosa did a little bit of everything. Barbosa threw for 71yards 1TD and ran for 13yards with 1TD. The star junior also let his talents to the defense and came away with 1tk 1int. Soph RB Jamall Warnell led the charge on the ground. The breakout sophomore ended the game with 102yards 2TD. Soph Zaire Davis added 86yards. Jr WR Tre Simmons led the team with 2rec 38yards 2TD. On defense Jr LB Jared Cuevas Cottrell led the team with 10tk. Jr DL Tony Madrueno chipped in 6tk 1.5tfl 0.5sack 1int. CCSJ ends their season as the 2024 MSFL Champs.
SMWC couldn’t get things going in this one. Jr QB Jeremiah Tosky was held in check for most of the game. Tosky did manage to finish with 145yards 1TD 2int. Soph RB Derron Hazzard led the team with 63yards 1TD. Hazzard’s tough runs and touchdown kept in close of the Pomeroys early. Jr WR Corbyn Cleveland led the team with 3rec 86yards 1TD. Defensively SMWC did all they could to slow down the CCSJ run game. Fr LB Brandon Washington, Soph LB Joshua Wence, and Fr DL Peyton Metzger had 10tk a piece. SMWC ends their season with a 7-1 record.
