Names to know: RB
(CSFL) CHC Jr Lawrence Howard 2024 stats: 734yards 8TD
The Griffins had one of their best seasons in recent memory last year. A big part of that success was the level of play that came from star running back Lawrence Howard. Howard burst onto the scene last season with three100+ yard games and three multi TD games. It’s safe to say heading into this season Howard is the focal point of the offense. A strong frame and good speed make him a nightmare for defenders. It was not uncommon to see Howard running through defenders in the box before running by defensive backs down the field. With Howard heading into year 3 and the team coming off of a good year the stud running back should be in for a great season.

(MSFL) SMWC Jr Derron Hazzard 2024 stats: 605yards 10TD
Hazzard has been one of the most productive backs in sprint football since he first stepped on the field. As a freshmen he fought and climbed to the top of a crowded running back room and as a sophomore he took the reigns and never let up. Now as a junior he is primed for his biggest season yet. A natural runner Hazzard looks graceful when he is slicing through defenses. Whenever the Pomeroys need a big play it doesn’t take long for Hazzard to answer the call. With some talent leaving the wide receiver room Hazzard will be called upon to have his greatest season yet before SMWC leaves for NAIA.

(MSFL) Bellarmine Sr Brenden Reid 2024 stats: 421yards 2TD
Reid has been an absolute monster from the very moment he stepped foot onto the field for Bellarmine. A big bruising back Reid makes his presence felt every time he touches the rock. Barreling through defenders is a common occurrence as Reid turns out yards. Last year the Knights had a more pass focused agenda, however Reid was still impactful when called upon. With a new QB at the helm this year it remains to be seen if the Knights will do more of the same this season. One thing we can count on for sure is if all else fails you know #34 will get the rock. Reid will go down as one of the best running backs sprint football has ever seen with another strong season.

(CSFL) Navy Jr Hunter Gennicks 2024 stats: 775yards 10TD
Gennicks is the current in a long line of great running backs to tote the rock for Navy. A spectacular first season as a starter last year has set Gennicks up to be the face of the program for the foreseeable future. A tall, upright, and lean runner Gennicks makes running look easy. He bends, sprints, and accelerates past defenders on all three levels of the defense. While we don’t know what we will get from Navy’s passing game this year you can bet your money that they will be handing it off to Gennicks more times than they can count.

(MSFL) Quincy Gr CJ Jackson 2024 stats: 323yards 5TD
Jackson has been a consistent playmaker for the Hawks over the last two seasons. He electrifying and powerful runs have been a big chunk of the Hawks offensive output. Jackson has the speed to hit the big homerun play from anywhere on the field. He also possesses the power necessary to run in between the tackles and turn out yards the hard way. If the Hawks can have some of their other playmakers produce this season then things can open up even more for Jackson. Heading into his final year expect Jackson to have a huge year as the primary playmaker for the Hawks.
