Madrueno is one of the most complete defensive lineman you will ever see in sprint football. He uses his tall frame to bat down passes at the line of scrimmage, he uses speed to close in on ball carriers and quarterbacks, and he has a good mix of pass rush moves to keep offensive linemen guessing. Madrueno is they type of player that not only makes his plays but he also can set up his teammates by demanding extra attention from blockers and playing disciplined football on the edge. With Madrueno leading the way the CCSJ defense will be in for another good season.

(CSFL) CHC Sr Jonathan Havrilak 2024 stats: 40tk 4.5tfl 1sack

Havrilak is the anchor that holds down the CHC defense. He has been a presence in the middle of the Griffins defense since his freshman season. The standout interior defensive lineman plays with a high motor that allows him to cause havoc for opposing offensive lines. While he didn’t have the most tackles for loss or sacks last season Havrilak demands constant attention from interior linemen because of his ability to get penetration in the backfield. Havrilak should be an inside force as he enter his last season.

(CSFL) Mansfield Sr Ian Mapp 2024 stats: 22tk 7tfl 2sacks

Mapp heads into his final season as one of the few seniors on Mansfield’s defense. With that designation and his experience Mapp will be called upon to have his biggest season yet. Mapp is not a tall or lengthy as some of the other defensive ends across sprint football, however what he lacks in height he makes up for with power and leverage. He is great at using his low pad level to get in great position when battling offensive linemen. If Mansfield wants to continue being one of the better programs in sprint football they will need Mapp to have his greatest season yet on the defensive side of the ball.

(MSFL) Quincy Sr Noah Getz 2024 stats:30tk 7.5tfl 1sack

Getz heads into his final season as one of the unquestioned leaders on the Quincy defense. The senior is stout on the edge and makes it hard for offenses to run plays to his side. Getz does a great job setting the edge and forcing running backs to cut back inside. With Quincy hoping to make a big jump this year they will need Getz to have a spectacular season. If he can get some more pressure on opposing quarterbacks and keep being the strong run defender that he is then the Hawks will be in good shape up front.

(MSFL) Midway Jr Peyton Brazier 2024 stats: 43tk 12tfl 3.5sacks

Midway managed to get to the MSFL playoffs last season in no small part to their defense making timely plays. One guy who had a big part in that was Defensive End Peyton Brazier. The young edge rusher made his mark by relentless effort off of the edge and showing great bend and pursuit when chasing quarterbacks and ball carriers. Brazier had some big performances that were crucial in Midway’s push for the playoffs. With a solid group of developing talent around him on defense Brazier will still need to be a big time performer for Midway as they look to carry momentum in from last season under a new coaching regimen.
