Navy v Mansfield: Navy win 50-7

Player of the game-Jr RB Hunter Gennicks 123yards 3rec 20yards 1TD

Navy jumped on Mansfield right away, starting by forcing a fumble on special teams and taking it back for 6. After that the flood gates opening and the Mids never slowed down. Jr QB Luke O’Connell had an efficient night ending with 173yards 3TD. The catalyst for this offense was once again Jr RB Hunter Gennicks who ran for a game high 123yards and added 20receiving yards with 1TD. Soph WR Jake Berger had a career night leading the team with 7rec 128yards 1TD. On defense the Mids suffocated the Mountaineers holding them to -2 total rushing yards. Sr LB Jake Wolinski led the team with 10tk 0.5tfl. Jr LB Sam Stotler was a nightmare for Mansfield finishing with 7tk 3.5tfl 0.5sack. Navy stays home for a matchup with CHC.

Mansfield struggled to get anything going in all phases of the game. Soph QB Marcus Quaker left the game early after only throwing for 12 yards. He was relieved by Fr QB Mac Krauss who ended the night with 108yards. As a team Mansfield rushed for -2 yards. The lone score was punched in by Fr RB Weston Bellows. Bellows who also was the leading receiver for Mansfield ending the night with 4rec 43yards. The defense Mansfield could not do much to slow down the lethal Navy rushing attack. Soph LB Jackson Taylor led the defense with 13tk. Mansfield hits the road again to take on STAC.


Army v Penn: Army win 38-0

Player of the game-Jr QB Kyle West 277yards 4TD

Army’s passing game was too much for the Quakers to handle. Jr QB Kyle West threw for 277yards 4TD. The Army offensive line did a good job keeping West upright all night allowing him to make throws from the pocket. As a group Army only allowed 1 sack. The running game hasn’t been there for Army this year. Fr RB Coleman Brooke led the team with 39yards on the ground. Jr WR Parker Williams led the team with 4rec 94yards 1TD. Soph WR Carson McFadden followed up with 4rec 94yards 1TD. On defense Army did not allow Penn to get any positive momentum. Jr DL Cameron Allen led the team up front with 6tk 2tfl 1sack. Sr LB Louis Petkus followed up with 6tk 1int. Army hits to road next week to take on Cornell.

Penn is in a tough spot on offense. Jr DB Josh Johnson has had to take over quarterback duties for the Quakers. Johnson ended the game with 95yards 2int. We will see if Johnson can provide a much needed spark to the Penn offense. Fr RB Xavier May led the team in rushing with 40yards. On the outside Soph Jaxson Sheairs was the leading receiver with 1rec 28yards. Defensively Soph LB Colin Cross led the team with 10tk. Penn hits the road after their bye to take on CHC.


Caldwell v STAC: Caldwell win 34-6

Player of the game-Sr QB Jameil Lawrence 129yards 2TD 2int 53rushing yards

Caldwell used all three phases of the game to take out the Spartans. Things got rolling with a 79yard punt return TD by Soph WR Joey Ciccotelli. On offense Sr QB Jameil Lawrence led the team throwing and running ending with a game high 129yards 2TD and a team high 53 rushing yards. Lawrence’s ability to escape pressure and execute designed runs has been a life saver for the Cougars offense. Sr WR Darius Harrison led the team with 4rec 60yards 2TD. Soph ATH Josh Smith followed up with 4rec 48yards. On defense the young Cougars group continues to make plays. Fr DL Trever Stevenson spearheaded the charge ending the game with 8tk 3.5tfl 1sack 1pbu. Jr DB Yves Jean locked things down in the secondary with 3tk 1int(17yard TD) 2pbu. Caldwell hits the road next week to take on Molloy.

STAC continues to struggle as they try to find their identity. Soph QB Tyler Harp struggled throwing for 84yards with 3int. There was nothing on the outside all night as the Spartan’s receiver struggled to win against the Cougar defensive backs. Soph RB Michael Cotton-Jones led the team in rushing with 27yards. Soph WR Aron Cruz led the team in receiving with 3rec 36yards. It was a tough day on offense everywhere for the Spartans. On defense the young STAC team did what they could to try and stop the bleeding. Sr DL Ibrahim Conteh led the team with a career high 16tk 5.5tfl 3.5sacks. Soph DB Dylan Honan flew around adding 4tk 1fr 1pbu 1int. STAC heads home to take on Mansfield next week.


CHC v Molloy: CHC win 41-7

Player of the game-Sr QB Anthony Cancellare 202yards 3TD

The Griffins bounced back from a slow start and took over the game in the 2nd half. Sr QB Anthony Cancellare had a great night throwing for 202yards 3TD. Cancellare had turned a corner and continues to prove that he in one of the best quarterbacks in sprint football. Soph RB Xavier Limehouse is another guy who has cemented himself as one of the best in the game. The young RB ended the night with 135yards 1TD. The full stable of runners the Griffins have was on full display. Soph RB Folley Tarley added 95yards 1TD and Fr RB Kadeem Woods added 80yards 1TD. Jr TE Aiden Neff was a leading receiver on the night ending the game with 6rec 121yards 2TD. The Griffins defense held the Lions to just 65 yards through the air. Sr LB Cam Goldsmith led the charge with 9tk 2.5tfl 1sack. CHC hits the road next week to take on Navy.

Molloy was in this game early sustaining good drives on only trailing 13-0 at halftime. However, the Lions could not match that early success in the 2nd half. Jr QB Paulie Drummond and Fr QB Wilbert Spell combined for 65yards 1int. Spell was responsible for the lone scored on the ground punching in a rushing TD from 21yards out. Spell ended the night with a team high 62yards on the ground. Sr WR Peter von Schoenermarck led the team in receiving with 2rec 37yards. On defense the Lions were led by Soph LB Anthony DiSalvo and Sr DB John Zarnowski. The pair combined for 12tk. The Lions head home next week to take on Caldwell.
