Midway Jr Christian Carter- 2025 2188yards 25TD 11int 296rushing yards 3TD

Carter was at the helm for an explosive Eagle’s offense last season that put up 39ppg. Some could argue that Carter’s talented receiver room was the main force behind Midway’s success last season. I would argue the Carter’s development and skill was an even bigger contributing factor to the team’s success. Carter improved in every statistical category for a quarterback from year 1 to year 2 which included leading the nation in passing yards and touchdowns last season. Carter has everything a coach would want in a balanced quarterback. He can make throws on all 3 level, stand strong in the pocket, extend plays with his legs behind the line of scrimmage, and be a legitimate running threat. Unfortunately for sprint football fans this will be Midway’s last year in the MSFL before they move to NAIA and join the Mid-States Football Association. It will be fun seeing how far Midway can go and what type of season Carter can have in his last year in the MSFL.

Army Sr Kyle West-2025 1563yards 18TD 6int 6rushing TD

Everything is set up for West to have a spectacular final season for Army. The proven quarterback is going into his 3rd year as the starter for the Army offense. With that much experience comes a poise and control of the offense that may quarterbacks never reach. West was top 5 in the nation in passing yards and touchdowns last season as should be near the top in both categories this season. West makes his living from the pocket throwing with great anticipation and timing. West can push the ball down the field more effectively than some army quarterbacks of the past who had to rely more on their outside screen game to generate yards. While West in no stranger to taking the easy yards, he is a much more dangerous quarterback with the ball in his hands making a decision than some former Army quarterbacks. West will be a focal point for every team’s defense this season as he looks to go out with a bang.

Caldwell Jr Josh Smith-2025 197yards 1TD 2int 95rushing yards 23rec 341yards 4TD

Smith is one of the most interesting players in sprint football this year. The Cougar’s weapon has been used all over the field on offense although he primarily played wide receiver last season. That being said the Cougars are in need of sound QB play with the graduation of Sr QB Jameil Lawrence who threw for 1087yards 11TD last season. Smith had success his freshman season at QB ending the year with 708yards 6TD 7int 446rushing yards 5TD. The explosiveness, speed, quickness, and creativity Smith showed at quarterback made him an excellent wide receiver. It remains to be seen if Smith will be the answer for the Cougars at QB but since there is a void at that positions the Cougar’s coaching staff will certainly take a look at their proven dynamic playmaker. Wherever Smith lines up he is sure to be one of the best players in the CSFL this season.

Bellarmine Jr Kyle Horvath-2024 1923yards 21TD 8int

As a fan of the game I would be lying if I said I was not excited for the return of Bellarmine Jr QB Kyle Horvath. After a phenomenal freshman season, one of the best seasons in sprint football history, Horvath decided to explore other options which led him led him to transferring to Division II Chowan University. After spending 1 season there Horvath has decided to make his return to Kentucky. Horvath is a extremely gifted quarterback. He has the height, arm strength, frame, and touch that every young quarterback wishes for. Although it has been over a year since Horvath has thrown a ball in the MSFL his physical tools, proven experience, and comfortability with Bellarmine and the coaching staff should be enough for him to jump right back in and prove he is one of the best quarterbacks in sprint football.

Cornell Sr Stefano Luis – 2025 1411yards 6TD 6int

Cornell has struggled to find consistency and relevancy as a program for a little over a decade now. During that time, they have a handful of talented players that did their best to try and uplift the program. One of the positions they have struggled with the most has been quarterback. Now their time of lacking talent at that position may be over with the rise of Sr Stefano Luis. Luis finished last season as the 2nd 1000+ yard passer that Cornell has had is a decade. Luis was able to do this by throwing with great anticipation and using his quick release to get the ball out. Cornell does not always have great receivers or an offensive line so there is a ton of pressure on Luis to make things happen. Going into his final season with a few notable seniors around him Luis may be able to help resurrect Cornell as he tries to bring them back to their former glory.
